Request an AppointmentLENGTH Your CoolSculpting® physician will help you create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. The length of your CoolSculpting® session will vary depending on the number of areas being treated during one visit. You and your provider may schedule additional sessions in order to meet your goals.
ANESTHESIA None, the CoolSculpting® procedure is non-surgical.
IN/OUTPATIENT Outpatient
RECOVERY The CoolSculpting® procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely. Often times, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting® session is over.
DURATION OF RESULTS You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after two months. But your body will still flush out fat cells and continues doing so for up to four to six months after treatment. As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle, long-term results should remain stable.
Side Effects & Risks
SIDE EFFECTS During the procedure you may experience deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness, or discomfort. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain.
RISKS The most common side effects, all of which typically resolve within 1–3 weeks, are redness, swelling, and bruising.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a convenient, noninvasive method for permanently reducing or removing unwanted facial or body hair. It leaves the skin looking smoother and silkier than waxing, electrolysis or razors and is a gentle technique that can treat larger areas effectively with minimal discomfort and with no downtime.
Request an AppointmentLENGTH Most procedures take 15 to 30 minutes; however, a longer time period may be required, depending on the area being treated.
ANESTHESIA A topical anesthetic gel may be applied before treatment, and skin cooling during the procedure will help keep you comfortable.
IN/OUTPATIENT Outpatient
RECOVERY In most cases you may return to work and other daily activities immediately following your treatment. You may notice redness or minor skin irritation after the treatment, but this usually resolves quickly. You may need to use specially formulated skin care products and/or a prescribed skin care regimen. Sunscreen is a ‘must’ on any treated areas that are exposed.
DURATION OF RESULTS Hair removal is permanent but it may take as many as three to eight different sessions to ensure that all active-growth hair follicles have been satisfactorily removed.
Side Effects & Risks
RISKS Skin blistering, changes in skin color and/or texture, increased hair growth, eye injury.
Leg Vein Injection
Spider Vein Treatment or Sclerotherapy involves the injection of a solution into each affected vein, causing the vein to collapse and fade.
Request an AppointmentLENGTH 30 minutes – 1 hour.
ANESTHESIA Medications may be administered for your comfort during the procedure.
IN/OUTPATIENT Outpatient
RECOVERY Usually there is no downtime after spider vein treatment. For most patients, full activity may be resumed immediately. After sclerotherapy you will wear compression stockings to maximize the chances of treatment success.
DURATION OF RESULTS More than one treatment is often required, since all the veins will not respond to the first treatment. Also, since spider veins are a progressive condition, you can expect new spider veins to form over time, which may require treatment every few years to maintain the improvement.
Side Effects & Risks
RISKS Skin discoloration; Skin reddening or loss; Bruising; Blistering.
Tattoo Removal
Tattoo ink lives underneath the top layer of skin, which makes it difficult to remove, often requiring multiple laser sessions or in some cases, surgical removal. Laser tattoo removal is a noninvasive procedure that uses a Q-switched laser device to break down the pigment colors of an unwanted tattoo, while causing minimal damage to surrounding tissue.
Request an AppointmentLENGTH Varies depending on the nature of the tattoo.
ANESTHESIA Local, such as a topical anesthetic cream may be applied before treatment.
